Celebration of Excellence

The Celebration of Excellence awards program is a cherished opportunity for the community to celebrate and honor exceptional educators from across St. Vrain Valley Schools. This event recognizes individuals who exemplify excellence in their roles and make an extraordinary impact on student success. By highlighting the achievements of these outstanding educators, the Education Foundation and the community aim to honor the dedication and contributions of all teachers who inspire, innovate, and shape the future. There are a few different opportunities to help with this program.

  • Nomination Review Board – This committee reviews the Educator of the Year nominations for teachers from the schools or programs in St. Vrain Valley Schools. They will select the Educator of the Year for each school. The review process is virtual and decision meetings are held in late February or early March.
  • Event Volunteers – Help us the day of the event with setting up for the event, guest check-in or event clean-up.

Educator Grants

The Education Foundation is proud to support educators through our Educator Grants Program, which provides funding for projects that inspire innovation, and enhance student learning in St Vrain Valley Schools classrooms. A volunteer review board will convene in October to review and award the grants.  This review process is virtual.

Scholarships

The Foundation awards over $200,000 of scholarships to St. Vrain Valley high school graduates each spring.  We need volunteers to review all applications through our online application portal in March and April.  This committee of volunteers will meet virtually in groups to review the top candidates for each scholarship and select the awardee.

St. Vrain Valley Gala

Through the lens of public education as a community asset, the St. Vrain Valley Gala highlights the transformative power of education in driving economic growth, workforce development, and community excellence. From hands-on learning experiences to cutting-edge technology integration, St. Vrain Valley Schools is at the forefront of innovation, equipping students with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in an ever-evolving workforce.

Proceeds from the event support the St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation, dedicated to enhancing student success and teacher excellence in St. Vrain Valley Schools.

Sunrise Stampede

The Sunrise Stampede (established in 1985) is a family-oriented 5K and 1 Mile run/walk that raises funds to support our Teacher Innovation Grants, with a special focus on our Mental Health and Special Education funding categories. These grants are awarded to teachers who have innovative ideas to enhance learning for students.  There are a few different opportunities to help with this event.

  • Planning Committee – This committee meets monthly starting in March and then bi-weekly or weekly as the event gets closer.
  • Event Day Volunteers – Help us the day of the event with course logistics, participant check-in, course ambassadors, Sponsors alley set up and many more tasks.

Supplies for Success

Supplies for Success is a school supply distribution that ensures over 4,600 students in St. Vrain Valley Schools start the school year with the supplies they need for a successful and strong academic year.
