Volunteers are the backbone of the Sunrise Stampede. We are excited and filled with gratitude that you are willing to help us make this event possible!
These are our volunteer needs:
Event Logistics:
5K Course Set Up Crew –Please sign up for 5K Course setup crew from 5:45 am – 7:30am. Set-up crew will assist in setting up all course signs and flags as required for a safe and organized race. They will set up the water station at Blue Mountain Elementary. They will also set up the First Aid Stations at Mile Marker 1 and Mile 2 You will need to work with a group in vehicles to move along for set-up. You are a very early riser with energy and ability to move and lift objects as needed.
Event Set Up Crew – Please sign up for setup from 5:45 am – 7:45 am. Set-up crew will include anything needed for check-in, sponsors alley, the course and any other odd jobs. You are an early riser with energy to move and groove.
Parking Lot and Event Greeters – Please sign up for parking lot and event greeters from 6:30 am – 8:45 am. Greeters will welcome our runners and direct participants on where to go. You are an early riser that has a smile and enthusiasm to make our participants feel welcome and ready to race!
Floaters – Please sign up as a floater if you are happy to help with any tasks as needed throughout the race. Floaters needed: 7:00 – 10:00 am
Clean Up Crew – Please sign up if you would like to volunteer to cleanup after the event 9:30 am – 11:30 am. You are energetic and willing to help assure we leave Silver Creek High School in better form than prior to the race.
Race Support:
Race Check-In and Bib Pick-Up – Please sign up if you would like to volunteer at the Registration Table 6:30 am – 8:45 am. Registration table volunteers check in runners, help them get their bibs and provide information. After all check-in is finished you will help clean up the area. You are organized, energetic and excited to welcome people to the event.
1 Mile Fun Run Ambassador – The 1 Mile Fun Run Ambassador from 7:30 am – 8:45 am needs to be a high energy volunteer that will be at strategic locations through out the 1 mile race course to direct the participants to stay on the race path. Ambassadors will meet at the start for a flag and vest and then walk to the assigned location on the race course. This is a very important volunteer position for our event!!
5K Stampede Ambassador – The Stampede Ambassador needs to be available from 7:30 am – 10:30 am and 18 or older. These ambassadors will be at strategic locations through out the race course to direct the runners to stay on the race path. Ambassadors will meet at the start for a flag and vest and then walk or drive to the assigned location on the race course. This is a very important volunteer position for our event!!
Start/Finish Line Support – Please sign up for Start/Finish Line Support from 7:30 am – 10:30am. Start/Finish line support will help assure all needs are met for a safe and organized start for the 5K and fun run. You are enthusiastic and ready to get our participants off to a great start. You will welcome them across the finish line and hand out race medals!
First Aid Stations – We are looking for Doctors, Nurses, EMTs or anyone who is First Aid and/or CPR certified to volunteer to help at our First Aid Stations. We will provide a basic first aid kit and you would be handling minor scrapes and bumps for any of our participants.
Finish Line and Water Table – Please sign up for finish line food and water table from 8:00 am – 10:30am. Volunteers will hand out food and water as runner complete the race.
T-Shirt Pick Up After the Race – Please sign-up for t-shirt pickup after the race from 8:00 am – 10:00 am. This service is for any runners that are unable to pickup their t-shirts prior to the race. You are ready to greet our hard working runners with a smile.
