Josh, our Executive Director, came to the Education Foundation in December 2017 after spending nearly 15 years as an executive with the Boy Scouts of America, most recently working for the Denver Area Council as a Field Director. Prior to working with Denver Area Council, Josh worked on behalf of the Boy Scouts serving as a top-level executive in Longmont and Boulder County where he helped increase fundraising and membership for the Scouts.
Prior to his work with the Boy Scouts of America, Josh, a graduate of Skyline High School and a 4th generation Longmont native, attended the University of Northern Colorado, where he achieved a bachelor of arts degree in Sociology-Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology.
Josh currently lives in Longmont with his wife, Anne, who is an Assistant Principal at Longmont High School, and their three children who all attend St. Vrain Valley Schools.

Tammy, our Business Manager, and Executive Assistant came to the Education Foundation in February 2018 after spending 9 years working for a local food bank. While at the food bank Tammy worked as the Development Assistant, Events and Outreach Manager and the Data Analytics Manager. Before joining the nonprofit world, Tammy worked in the banking industry for over 10 years. Being a 4th generation Longmont native, Longmont High graduate, and 1st generation college graduate, Tammy is excited to be working at the Foundation and supporting the educational needs of the local community.
Tammy’s primary Education Foundation duties include over site on all business matters including accounting software, donor relations software, scholarship program manager, flyer program manager, event/program logistics manager, and overall foundation budget. Tammy also serves as the Executive Directors Executive Assistant.
Tammy currently lives in Longmont with her chocolate lab and enjoys photography, gardening and tending to her orchid collection.

Michelle Phelan, the Foundation’s Community Liaison, worked over 15 years in the insurance industry. During that time she focused on professional and career development of others including leadership training, public speaking and mentoring. After leaving the industry, her time was spent with her family and devoting much of her energy to the community around her. She has been involved in several volunteer capacities including Parent Teacher Organizations as a chairperson and Co-President, School Improvement Team, school and youth activities, fundraising efforts and local neighborhood activities such as Neighborhood Watch and community events.
Michelle resides in Longmont with her husband, Mike and their two sons who attend schools within the district. As a family, they enjoy hiking, biking, snow sports, cooking and baking together.
