FAQ – The Basics

  • What is Haunt the ‘Mont?

    Haunt the ‘Mont is a SPOOKTACULAR “business crawl” fundraiser thru Downtown Longmont. 21+ trick-or-treaters (hopefully in costume) will make their way thru Downtown Longmont and redeem their tickets for complimentary food, drink, music, and other “treats” supplied by the generous Downtown Longmont businesses. Haunt the ‘Mont is a fundraiser event, and 100% of proceeds will go to St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation and will be used to benefit schools in St. Vrain Valley School District.

  • When and Where?

    October 21, 2023
    5:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Business Crawl in Downtown Longmont
    9:00 pm – 11:30 pm – Costume Contest & After Party at Longmont Elks Lodge #1055

    This event takes place at businesses in Downtown Longmont. Most participating businesses are located along Main Street between 1st and Longs Peak, but we have some great participants slightly off the beaten path.

  • Should I wear a costume?

    Most definitely! It’s Halloween and there is a costume contest at Dickens Opera House!  Besides, who doesn’t love dressing up?!

  • What can businesses and sponsors expect?

    Great visibility and marketing opportunities for their businesses, as well as an opportunity to show their support for the schools and community. Destination businesses can give out tastes of food or drink and offer specials to Haunt the ‘Mont participants.  Contact us at hauntinthemont@stvrainfoundation.org is you would like more information on how to join in the fun.

  • What if it rains, snows, or the Zombie Apocalypse occurs?

    The event is on…rain, shine, or zombies!

  • Can I bring my kids?

    Haunt the ‘Mont is an adult event. Because of this, we ask you to not bring your children.

  • What are the health and safety protocol?

    We will be following local and state health and safety guidelines. If you are not feeling well please stay home.

FAQ – Tickets

  • How much is my ticket and what does it cover?

    Tickets can be purchased for $40 online only and must be picked up before the event.  Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, October 4th at 10:00 am.  You will receive ticket pick up instructions when the ticket purchase is complete.

    On Saturday, October 21st from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm ticket holders can visit participating businesses and will receive a taste of food, special themed drink, prize or give-away, coupon and/or entertainment.  The from 9:00 pm to 11:30 pm make sure to join us at Longmont Elks Lodge #1055 for the costume contest and after party.

  • Where can I get a Ticket?

    Haunt the ‘Mont tickets will go on sale Wednesday, October 4th at 10:00 am.

    Remember, this is a 21+ event and IDs will be checked at each participating location that is serving alcohol.

  • Are tickets refundable?

    No. Haunt the ‘Mont will be held rain, shine, or zombies!

FAQ – Code of Conduct

  • Be Safe!

    You must be 21 or over to consume alcohol!

    Alcohol must be served and consumed on site of legal and licensed locations and will be served at the discretion of the location. We do not advocate excessive drinking and strongly encourage moderation and safe practices.

    Anyone exhibiting disorderly conduct, drunken behavior, public urination or vandalism will be asked to leave the event immediately.

    Look for safe ride home options! Be responsible and DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.

  • Should I be tipping the waitstaff?

    While there are many complimentary options included in your event ticket – we encourage you to purchase items at locations you really enjoy. Make sure you tip the waitstaff well, and return to these businesses throughout the year!

  • Photo Release

    By purchasing tickets you agree to the terms listed on this page, and authorize us (the event) to use, publish, copy, print, copyright or electronically transfer any or all photographs, video, or audio clips taken by an authorized event photographer for use after this event. You may contact us to request removal; please allow 30 days for us to comply with your request.

FAQ – We Benefit Local Schools

  • Eligible Schools

    St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation will distribute the proceeds from the event as they see appropriate to schools throughout the district.

  • How can I make sure my school gets the proceeds from my ticket purchase?

    St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation will be in charge of allocating proceeds from this fundraiser to schools throughout the district.
