2015 Eleanor Venture Travel Grant Recipients Announced

Congratulations to Eagle Crest Elementary’s Kari Cooper and Hillari Hansen, this year’s Eleanor Venture award recipients!! They will be using the $3,500 award to travel to their sister school Empakasi Primary in Kenya.
Their goal is to enhance this ongoing relationship and help their students “look beyond themselves, their school, their community and and even their country to provide academic and financial support”. Today they are raising funds to help their sister school build a chicken coop and greenhouse in an effort to establish a sustainable lunch program. What a great proposal with long lasting results possible both in Longmont and Kitengela. Congrats!
